Hair Parade

I created this show or "Hair Parade" as I call it in celebration of women who wear their hair with pride. Loose naturals and locked. Ladies you look fabulous!!

Remember: "Wear your hair with style cuz you are wonderfully made."

My Summer in a Nutshell - Two

Oh the wonder of the kids as they discovered the sights of Manhattan. The girls had a ball......... both young and old alike. Traveling to upstate NY was refreshing and interesting - bridges, tunnels, more bridges and more tunnels. Oh well we made it back safely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, despite the rain occasionally

My summer in a Nutshell

At the beginning of the summer vacation, which began in the last week of June I saw the summer with its  possibilities of affording me a restful and exciting summer. I was finally on vacation after a long school year!!!

As the first few weeks crept by I hurried to finish the paperwork that needed to be done as I completed my end of year duties.

Next I turned my attention to the planning of the short family trip which I would take with some of  my family members.

Before I knew it, after lots of rushing around to ensure that our travel plans were correct, Passports, together in one place, suitcases packed and tagged, checked for the correct weight, rechecked for over weight...... no additional expenses needed when traveling on a budget. We were at the airport checking in at the self-service line and anticipating with great excitement our much anticipated vacation in New York City.

Lock Envy????

Here's a funny thing that Happened to me one day...............

I was standing in the bank with my mum, we went over to the teller so I was next to my mum and close to the customer scroll that indicates the next available teller. I'm chatting with my mum and probably playing with my hair ( as I do sometimes absentmindedly) .....................

SUDDENLY this lady walks up to me and says "Excuse me, Your HAIR is blocking the scroll and no one can see which teller is available!"

I apologized... "Sorry ma'am" and moved out of the way. I was surprised and and gave a good laugh, Cuz it was just so unexpected the way so pointed out that "my hair" was blocking her.

MMMMM.. was that a bit of "Lock Envy" or what???? LOL!!!

Remember...Wear your hair with pride, cause you are fearfully and wonderfully made.
